The 100 Day Project - Week 4

I’m finding this week things are changing a bit, for the better. I think a little bit more confidence in letting things happen and accepting the results or more believing it will look good at the end.

Day 23 This reference was from @lenamoz and @drawdailytogether - Crocuses in Szczecin, Poland. I tried to pay attention to the light source and try to replicate. At the same time that day wasn’t up to drawing too much so lots of doodling.

Day 23

Day 24 - Reference from @walkingnewzealand and @drawdailytogether. I really liked doing this one. I used brown and gold tempera sticks for the background and like how the texture came out. Also like how the mountains have a foggy feeling to them, wasn’t planned! Only drawback was that my background was too dark to use gouache for the daisy. I winded up using Posca pens for it. Not always a fan of using them.

Day 24

Day 25 - Today's reference is park Krajobrazowy Mierzeja Wiślana in Poland taken by @smidovalucia and provided by @drawdailytogether. Things are starting to shift it feels like. I’m starting to truly enjoy the process and not think too much if it looks good or bad. It seems to be working at least to my audience. It’s the highest rank of likes since I started drawing every day. So if you’re struggling, don’t think and just do, it will come with time. (Everyone says that, but it’s true! )

Day 25

Day 26 - reference provided by @annemiekevandam_art and @drawdailytogether . I decided to work on this reference to practice perspective. It’s hard for me. My brain sees a line go one way and when I put it down to paper, it’s at a complete different angle. Used a ruler to get my lines sort of right. Enjoyed adding all the details. I’m really liking using Derwent Inktense Pencils as well.

Day 26

Day 27 - reference by @maluhendrikszen and @drawdailytogether Ice cream stand in Nancy, France. I removed all the people :D. It was a good reference also to practice perspective. I kind of messed up the roof. Also can’t help but use my bark color inktense pencil. I probably should of left it out for the shadows.

Day 28 - Reference was provided by @lenamoz and @drawdailytogether. Another perspective practice. I really like how the gouache worked for the buildings. I like how it all came out especially the doorway.
